training pants.

With summer close, there is probably a whole army of parents that have promised themselves that now is the time to tackle potty training.  I'm one of them.  We got extra lucky for our first and started and finished in about 4 days (straight to underwear- no training pants, ever).  But with little Finn, I have a feeling that I'll need extra backup.  This is where two layers of extra absorbent terry liner comes in handy and it doesn't hurt that they're stripe-y with no itchy elastic touching skin.

[Do you think training pants are the way to go?  Do you go straight to underwear?  Prefer disposable pull-ups?]

Wish i had some of these when I was toilet training my young one! In fact, I wish I had some of these today while at the cafe, when a tickle fest resulted in my son wetting his pants. Oops- silly mummy.

I might choose this route -- not a fan of disposables so we tried one pack and skipped over them as well. It took about two weeks for Avery to get it completely, but then she got it (night time and all). I'm wondering if Coco will be different too. These look great!

i'm think O will require more work and patience with potty training too! we'll try straight to underwear...

went straight to undies with my first, tried a few disposables at night but didn't really need them, so that was that! My second, I think, will need a little more training, so these stripey drawers are perfect! I won't do disposables again.

went with underwears, i think that disposables would be confusing, but i do think they have their place. ie driving home from utah with two sick kids, threw away those instead of 7 pairs of underwear.
i have been looking for good trainer pants though i think they would be different than disposables. I also like to get those extra thick undies by gerber for the beginning of potty training then we get the fun character or print stuff once they've got it down.
