Lip gloss suits me best and I reapply several times a day.  And it wasn't until last night when I saw a small snippet on tv about petroleum jelly based lip glosses and the dangers they introduce when they're inevitably ingested (think about that!) that I started to read the labels on my favorite products.  Ack!  

So, I'm on a mission to quickly switch and I ask: do you have a great natural (petroleum, etc. free) lip gloss?  

Just in my quick research, I've found: 

Fresh (a brand that I use and I love and maybe their tinted lip treatment would do the trick?)

kiss my spatula: there's a lot of talk about whole/local/safe foods.  It's exciting that that's becoming a popular topic, right!  And more exciting is that it doesn't mean more expensive or more work.  Take this homemade organic butter, for example.  Pretty.  And pretty simple.  And cheap.  And I would guess that it tastes that much better than store bought.

I stumbled across this photograph a few days ago and gasped.  Look at how soft he is.  How little.  How round.  He’s grown up since this image was taken - he’ll soon be five.  And as much as I’ve tried to appreciate the simplicity and bliss of raising a young child, I wonder how time went by so fast.  And how I can remember so little of it when I wanted to remember each detail.

Once upon a time I was an overwhelmed, unhappy young mother of two babies.  I couldn’t wait for my boys to grow up.  I wanted the time to fly by.  And then somewhere along the way I grew into motherhood.  Now I am a mother of four who prays each day for time to slow down.  Because they really do grow up too fast.

Green Sprouts:  My Finn (13 months) is quietly bold, brave and independent.  Among sneaking past anything child safety, being a fearless climber, needing to eat often and growing like a bean, he really loves to do it (anything) all by himself.  He hasn't mastered eating with utensils, but when he gives it his best try, this little silicone spoon he found in his Christmas stocking is so helpful.  I love it.  It's long, the mouthpiece is perfectly medium, the base is easy to grip and it's soft + flexible.  A baby gear favorite.
